British researchers made a 20 year-long study about sleep deprivation and the risk of untimely death.
This study has been known as the “Whitehall II” Study.
In this research, 10,000 civil servants of the country have been tested. 20 years later, it has been found that the ones reducing their sleep from 7 hours to 6 or 5 hours a day had a DOUBLED risk of untimely death.
And death can occur for many reasons.
It also DOUBLED the risk of death from cardiovascular problems.

2. It Can Cause Cancer and Other Serious Illnesses
Many research and other surveys have found a close link between cancer and other life-threatening diseases that increase with poor sleep patterns and less sleep.

5. Hormonal Imbalance

Lack of sleep significantly alters the function of the Pituitary gland, which in turn may create serious problems such as hormonal imbalance.
A hormonal imbalance can lead to endocrine diseases like Thyroid.

6. Memory Issues
